It wasn’t so much a concerted effort for the Celtics as opposed to fans appreciating the fact they got to the finals. From my experience, when they won game1, to be honest it was unexpected. When they won game2,i thought i was already so happy with that and when they won gm 3, hey they have a chance here. I think it was about more people wanting it FOR them. when you think about it they definitely overachieved by pushing L.A. to gm7 AND taking the lead for 3 quarters!
do you have a fave draft pick who are the winners and losers for you? i may write a draft report…watch out for it. Thank you so much for commenting. keep’m coming.

I don’t say this lightly, especially since i am a Boston fan. But most of the well-known bloggers and sites seemed to favor the C’s and admittedly, it was quite convincing, I am sure that until Game 6, the men in green were favorites to win it against the then-defending (and still defending) champs. More power!

I am just a fan of the UAAP, who can afford to watch most of the games of the season. I was referring to the 2009 DLSU WVT. I was expecting them to win but it did not happen. The new season is just around the corner, and I am hoping for more exciting volleyball action.

Thank you for the astute observation. it sounds like you’re a UAAP (University Athletic Association of the Phil) expert. Are you referring to the 2008 DLSU women’s team? or is it UST? i can’t wait to read your blog.

The top team had it all… defending champion, single loss the entire tourney, a good coach, best middle hitter/blocker, a hard hitting open spiker, a utility that alternates as a setter-open hitter-quicker-middle blocker, a stable setter, a libero that goes after each and every wayward ball, two excellent rookies and 3 more players in the bench that can give quality minutes. All the experts were saying that they would repeat as champs no matter what and that it was a season for them to lose. Unfortunately, they did lose the title. Same situation here. If the Lakers aren’t careful, Celtic pride (and the leprechauns) will get ’em. I’ve got gold/yellow blood in my veins; but this time, I’m going green!
