Mark Muñoz aka The Filipino Wrecking Machine will be battling Lyoto the Dragon Machida on UFC Fight Night this Sunday, October 27, 2013 3:30am (Manila time). Muñoz is the proud flag bearer of the Philippines in the biggest show in MMA. He was originally scheduled to fight Michael “the Count” Bisping in Manchester England while Machida was supposed to fight Tim Kennedy on November 6th FIGHT for the TROOPS.

Bisping was prevented from going on with the fight ever since he was diagnosed with a detached retina. While the operation to repair the damaged eye has been successful several months is needed for a full recovery. UFC Pres. Dana White had earlier stated that he did not want to endanger the long-term career of Bisping by allowing him to fight on October 27.

Machida may be a more difficult opponent with his elusive style and KO record. Although, Mark did come from an impressive knock out of Tim Boetsch last July. Machida has also asked Mark to help improve his wrestling from previous fights. Muñoz deserves all of the support and prayers from his Pinoy country mates. In his trip to Manila earlier this year, he was able to run a few wrestling clinics and even trained Eduoard Folayang in his REIGN training center in the U.S. Muñoz is very proud of his Filipino heritage and even brought all his relatives to the meet & greet event.
