A new float was added in 2010 that wasn’t there in previous years. It may have been the first time the largely mass based audience of the Metro Manila Film Fest got to see the faces of independent film makers. The yearly MMFF now on its 36th year parade could not be more commercial and celebrity driven. And the Indies’ float headed the whole parade.

Adolf Alix’s “Presa”, starring Anita Linda won Best Picture in the Independent Category of the 36th MMFF. Other cast members include: Jodi Sta. Maria, Rosana Roces, Perla Bautista, Liza Lorena, Angeli Bayani and many more. Jonah Lim’s “Nasaan Si Hefte” has qualified for an Italian film fest.
According to the official facebook website: “SENIOR YEAR” will have its theatrical run on March 9, 2011 in SM Cinemas nationwide. It will then have its INTERNATIONAL premiere at the 35th Hong Kong International Film Festival on March 20, 2011.
